As he improved his diet, so did his over all condition. He was able to soften up the tumors and remove them over time. While removing the tumor he stored fragments of it over time. No refrigeration, no special conditions. As time passed, the Scientist realized that the tumor did not rot or decay, nor did it aquire any smells.
