Grgich Hills Estates cultivates estate vineyards across hundreds of acres.

During his third medical school year he was invited to join a group of plastic surgeons on a volunteer mission to Mexico to treat children with cleft lips and palates, and burn scar deformities. He assisted plastic surgeons who performed life changing operations on children who otherwise would not have had the chance to lead normal lives. This mission changed Dr. McClure’s life.

We offer additional services for the whole body, addressing your concerns and finding innovatve and safe solutions.  

Liz Pirnat is a second-year student with the Institute of Masters of Wine. She believes that wine is a journey that anyone can enjoy. Liz holds the WSET.

Grgich Hills Estate is deeply rooted in family. The winery was founded by two families, Grgich and Hills,  joined together in the pursuit of creating the best wines in the world. Today, Mike’s daughter, Violet Grgich, is President and Ivo Jeramaz, Mike’s nephew, is Winemaker/VP of Vineyards & Production. 

We are a family owned and operated winery, estate vineyard, and Tuscan-style restaurant nestled in the Sierra Foothills Wine Appellation of Placer County. Our grapes are Certified Sustainable and meticulously grown using organic and certified sustainable practices.

California Dreamin’ is a journal about vineyard hunting, viticulture, people, and places in California wine.  

It is reputed by many vinophiles that as a group the Russian River wineries are among some of the finest in Northern California, rivalling those of the nearby Napa Valley. The Russian River Valley was approved as an American Viticultural Area in 1983. A vistor will the opportunity to sample outstanding Chardonnay, Cabernet Sauvignon and Pinot Noir wines, as as exemplary Merlots and Zinfandels.

The region also happens to be well-known for its safe, enjoyable, and iconic Napa Valley balloons that soar majestically across the sky, transporting happy passengers above the Valley floor.  

Ryan Hill always stated that if you want to dream in color, drink wine. This dream soon became a reality for Hill Family Estate when winemaker Alison Doran joined the team and made the inaugural 2001 vintage. Alison was introduced to Doug while he was growing grapes and she was making wine for Lewis Cellars.
